LOCATION INFORMATION

We are located at 930 Park Center Drive, Matthews, NC 28105 within the Salon Lofts.

This is in downtown Matthews, and there is ample free parking in the parking lot in front of the building entrance.

You can find us at Loft 6. When you enter the Loft building through the main entrance, take a right down the hallway, and then a left around the corner. Mourning Dove Tattoo will be on your righthand side and is directly across from the lobby seating area.

 

TATTOO INFORMATION

Robert specializes in illustrative black and grey tattoos of organic origin, or things found in nature. His style can also be considered line work, or fine line, although he incorporates many different line weights and occasional shading to create his tattoos.

TATTOO BOOKING INFORMATION:

You can begin the booking process by submitting an appointment request at https://form.jotform.com/mccollumtattooing/request

The link above will bring you to a JotForm form for you to complete. If the link comes up as “unavailable,” it is because Robert’s books are currently closed. You can visit Robert’s Instagram (link above in Tattoo Information) for updated information on his book opening dates.

You will be asked to fill out the form thoroughly, in its entirety. Within 7 days of submitting your completed form, you will receive an email from Robert or Melissa to notify you whether your request has been approved.

When a request is approved, you will be given date options for your specific appointment. These options will be based on Robert’s current availability, the date/day preferences you provide in the form, and the scale of your tattoo (scale meaning size, detail, placement- overall workload of the piece)

Once a date has been agreed upon, you will be required to leave a $100 deposit using Venmo, Cashapp, Zelle, or Paypal. A link to your preferred payment method will be provided in the email conversation.

After the deposit is paid, you will be officially entered into the schedule and will receive booking confirmation and notifications from our scheduling system.

TATTOO PRICING AND PAYMENT INFORMATION

Robert charges $200 an hour for each tattoo session. The final price of your tattoo will depend on how long it takes to complete.*

*How long a tattoo takes to complete depends on multiple factors not limited to the size and detail in the tattoo itself. It also depends on factors such as placement on your body, skin elasticity and hydration, and your skin’s overall willingness to accept the ink (which can vary from person to person.)

There is a $100 deposit required at the time an appointment is officially set.

The $100 deposit is a separate charge from the tattoo itself, and is non-refundable. The deposit holds your appointment, blocks the day off for you making it unavailable to others, and ultimately is a payment toward time spent preparing for your tattoo (including scheduling, consultation/correspondence, reference research/gathering, and the drawing of the design.)

If you need to reschedule, please do so with at least 72 hours notice to transfer your deposit. Late-notice reschedule requests will require a new deposit to set a new appointment. No-shows and cancellations are a forfeit of your deposit.

There is a minimum price of $400 per person, per appointment. This means, for example, that your tattoo will be $400 even if it takes less than two hours to complete.

Accepted Payment options include cash, Venmo, Cashapp, PayPal, and Zelle.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept card payments for tattoos.

 

INFORMATION FOR EXISTING TATTOO APPOINTMENTS:

Please notify us if there are any design changes to your original tattoo request before our appointment date. Robert reserves the right to cancel confirmed appointments due to design change requests.

Tattoo designs will not be shown until the day of the appointment.

There is room for one additional guest if you would like to bring someone to the appointment with you. However, please no young children.

You are welcome to bring snacks and beverages for yourself.

You may also choose to bring headphones, books, handheld gaming devices, etc. to keep yourself distracted/occupied during the tattoo. However, your ability to use these “distraction devices” may be dependent on the position you must be in to get the tattoo.

Please do not use numbing cream for your tattoo appointment. It can negatively affect how your skin receives the ink and how your tattoo heals.

If there is a significant skin condition in the area to be tattooed (such as sun burn, injury, rash, etc.) please notify us within 72 hours of your appointment. If Robert is not informed and is unable to tattoo you at your appointment, this will be a forfeit of your deposit.
